OBJECTIVES OF CHU
To contribute to food requirements for the children of impoverished families.
To educate the families of the impoverished children about proper nutritional and feeding habits like balanced diet, for their proper growth.
To help the infected and affected children with HIV/AIDS, to acquire better medical care for proper growth and long life through health education, counseling and other life avenues.
To help the children who are not school going to understand the essence of education or to get involved in other informal education activities like art & craft, music, dance and drama, farming and others.
To identify children willing to join school or go back to school (drop-outs) and link them to near and appropriate schools of their proximity and possibly affordable ones.
To look and identify partners in progress to help children to acquire appropriate shelter and clothing in their lives.
To encourage the families of the beneficiary children to engage and participate in self-help and income generating activities like music & drama for women, art & craft for women, gardening (fruits, vegetables and food crops) and others.
To solicit and involve government interventions and other NGOs to uplift children’s better standards of living.
To provide guidance and counseling services on HIV/AIDS or any other developmental issues.
To encourage community participation in seminars, workshops, training programs and voluntary work, purposely for solving community problems involving the vulnerable children.
To help the families of the beneficiary children in the community by providing them with social and health services like provision of mosquito nets and construction of water tanks and other social amenities. These will help reduce the burden of the children in their life.- To involve in income generating activities and projects which will help bring money that will support Children Horizon Uganda in intervention of the cause of helping the children. These may include poultry keeping, piggery, gardening and many others.
