SPONSORING AND DONATING AND VOLUNTEERING.
SPONSORING:
Well wishers can help a child, two or many more for the betterment of their lives. Our annual targeted budget reveals that every child is to be catered on a monthly basis at one hundred sixty one ($ 161 ) US dollars. Therefore we call upon people out there to generously participate in full sponsorship, half-sponsorship or part sponsorship as per one’s capacity.
DONATING:
Donation can be in any form of physical basic necessities of lives, these include several items like clothes, library books, scholastic materials, stationery, to mention but a few. These can be sent to us by our Post Office Box Number, can be brought along with (for those visiting us) or arrangements can be made for receiving.
VOLUNTEERING:
Volunteers are of paramount contribution to Children Horizon Uganda. Volunteering can be in many forms either from volunteers home places although many volunteers do come physically to interact with children. These items may include but are not limited to:-
Administrative duties Music, dance & drama Spiritual teaching / awareness Art & Craft General cleanliness / Hygiene standards Guiding and/or accompanying children going to school Counseling of children Participating in general aspects of teaching the children And many others.REQUIREMENTS FOR VOLUNTEERS
1. For all volunteers visiting us from abroad/overseas, and are resident with us the following are required of them.
a. Payment of US dollars $55 airport expenses to and from the airport (Entebbe)
b. Contribution of up-keep expenses worth US dollars $20 per every day of stay
OR contribution of US dollars $300 per every month of stay.
Note:
Ø These contributions comprise of ONLY accommodation and feeding.
Ø Special accommodation and/or feeding will then be met by the volunteer him/herself.
Ø Medical treatments in case circumstances arise, will be met by the volunteer him/herself although the organization will assist in identifying and transporting to medical facilities at cost free.
2. Volunteers coming from within Uganda will only be facilitated with break-tea and lunch. More details can be got from our headquarters.
